Hello!
Ran into a problem I haven't been able to solve, hopefully someone here has
an idea.

Each time I try to run defrag on my c: drive I get an error that a certain
file can not be defragmented and it stops after only 10% or so. This is the
txt dump.....

Fragments File Size Files that cannot be defragmented
2 42 KB \Documents and Settings\Bill\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\QHSBCJEF\news[1].

Going into that directory, there is no such directory or file. Running
chkdsk didn't help, it says everything is fine.

I'm running XP Pro with all the latest patches. It's an 80gig drive with 4
partitions.

Any ideas?

Try going to Control Panel | Internet Options.

There, you will see a button that will delete all your temporary
Internet files. Click this, wait a few moments for it to finish and
try defrag again.
