XP pro doesn't wake from suspend or hibernate

ASUS P4P800 deluxe, WIN XP PRO, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900, will not wake from suspend or hibernate. Frequently will not go into suspend or hibernate. I'm desperate for help.

I've had the same problem and in my case it there was a
problem with third-party programs (more specifically,
NetStat Live from AnalogX, www.analogx.com) preventing the
system from entering suspend.
If nothing else works, try ending all non-Windows programs
and then suspend the system. If that works, try starting
one program at a time to find the culprit.
