Has anyone run into the problem where WinXP Professional doesn't recognize any of the CD-ROM drives. Incidentally, the drives do work.

Someone suggested to me it is a problem in the registry.

Does anyone have any specific solution for this problem?

Thanks

Ziggy

The quickest solution is to re-install your drivers if
you still have the disk. If not you may have to go into
control panel and clik on system information then find
what drivers you have for your cd's and contact the
manufacuter, Find their website and download and install
the drivers again. Also if you have not been to windows
update and downloaded the updates to Windows XP Pro this
may be a good idea to do it. If you have already done
this then you may click on start, control
panel,performance and maintenace,system, hardware then
finally Device manager. See if there are any conflicts
with your cd's hope this is some help.
