Xp Pro Build 5.1.2505- no patchs nor update can be installed

My computer came with Xp pro 5.1.2505 and I cannot
install any upgrade from Microsoft site because they
require the 2600 build. How can I overcome this problem?
I bought my computer with XP installed on it.

Olivier,

The seller of the PC - sold you a PC with a pre release copy of Windows XP.
It is not actually "legal" to sell you this product. So if they charged you
for it then you may have an issue.
You cannot patch or update the pre release product. The license to use this
product also expected when we released Windows XP for retail sale a number
of years ago.
You must purchase a full copy of Windows XP and reinstall your PC.

The license to use Release Candidate 1 of Windows XP expired more than
two years ago.
You have an illegal copy on that computer and it can not be updated.
Contact the seller for a valid license or buy a valid copy yourself.
