After starting up windows XP pro, the computer automatically shutsdown without prompting, then gives me a blue screen with irql_not_less_orequal message and the code: 0x000000D1. I disconnected all usb devices, and then did a Windows XP "Clean Boot" to see if I could narrow down the problem. Everything seemed to be okay, but then off it goes again with a restart just a few minutes after a reboot. I'm totally sure I dont have a virus on my system, I have been using a virus detector religiously and havent found anything. Could this be a device conflict? Uggh! Ever since I upgraded from Windows ME to Win XP it has been a never ending problem! Anybody, please help!!

Hi

Try the following link to Jim Eshelman's web page:

"0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

Hi,

In my expereince Irql_not_less... usually realtes to RAM so I would adivse you getting the ram looked at by your computer manufacturer.
