I run a dell laptop at work that im a memeber of a domain. At home i
have a pc running xp pro connected isdn to the internet. (only thing
available in my area). I have went in and on the desktop pc at home
put the server in adhoc and i can share files between the destop and
the laptop but i cant access the internet from the laptop. Im hoping
it is a config ussue.
on the dest top i have enabled ics that said this computer connect
directly to the internet. other computers on my nework connect to the
internet through this computer.
On the lap top. when i go into to set up ics. On a non domain pc
there is a option to set up this computer connects to the internet
through another computer on my nework or though a resident gateway.
But this does not work when i try to go into ics it comes up and tells
me im a member of a domain and wont allow me to choose anything.
Anybody have any ideas on how i can get this to work. I do not want
to have to keep moving my isdn modem from the desktop to the lap top.
Also i will be using vpn from the lap top. Hopefully that will jsut
work once i reach the net.
