Hi!
I am running Windows XP Pro on a Toshiba Satellite Pro
6100, and only have the restart disks for my computer
(meaning if i use them to fix my problem i will lose the
contents of my hard drive). My sister has the CDs for
Windows XP Home, and i was wondering if pro and home are
similar enough for home to repair the file that is
missing on my computer. When i booted from the home cd, i
didn't get any prompt screens and it went to a windows
set-up blue screen where it looked like it started to
download drivers. I wasn't sure if the repair prompt was
supposed to come after that or not but i didn't want
anything to happen to my files so i stopped whatever was
happening and ejected the Home CD. Can anyone tell me if
it's ok to use home to fix pro? Thanks!!
