I am running XP Pro (SP2) on a P4 Notebook (2003 model). I've suddenly
encountered a problem with my password. It is insisting on a password change
every two days. When I change it, it immediately shoots back with a message
that my pw will expire in 2 days. In the intervening period, it keeps
nagging to change my pw everytime I logon.

Can anyone help, please?

Thanks in advance

Right-click My computer, Manage, Local Users and Groups, Users, Right-click Username,
Properties, check "Password Never Expires", "Apply", "OK"

With little or no hair left to lose, I guess I'd have had to .. well... just
bear up!!
