XP P & XP H File & printer sharing

All, Up until a few weeks ago, my two PC's (One Laptop,
One Desktop) which are both wirelessly connected to my
Linksys router could share printers (connected to the
Desktop) and files happily.

They nolonger can communicate with each other. I've made
sure that the desktop is the master browser by typing
nbstat -n on both machines.

I'm really pulling my hair out on this one, any assistance
would be appreciated.

No VPN hasn't been installed as far as i know. Both PC's
can successfully ping each other.
