too many possibilities, not much information. is this a re-
install, an upgrade, or what? A number of things could
have gone wrong. You did not mention if this is a stand-
alone unit or a networked station. Did you check the
information on the XP website to make sure your computer
was prepared for XP? Lots of questions, many
possibilities...
Format the drive and reinstall your previous operating system. Once booted
to that desktop, place the XP CD in the drive, at the setup screen, select
"Check System Compatibility." This may give a clue as to the source of the
problem.
