Xp networked to win98

having connected a new pc running xp pro to and existing
win 98 peer to peer network and installing ipx/spx protcol
on all machines, the win98 machines can see the xp pc but
xp pc cant see any of the win98 pc's. all the machines are
on the same work group. many thanks Andy

Andy,

please have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.
Make sure you remove all bindings from IPX if you run TCP/IP as
your network transport protocol and use IPX only for games.
Windows isn't very good at networking through more than one
transport protocol.
