HOST:
Internal dsl modem to connect to the internet and an

I have a VIA VT6103 LAN controller ( addressing set -> ip
192.168.0.2 ; mask 255.255.255.0 ; gateway 192.168.0.1 ;
DNS 192.168.0.1 )
HUB:
Netgear Dualspeed DS104.
Here is the problem. The host can see the client. The
client can see the host. The client can see the host
connection to the internet in { View all Connections }.
We CAN share files on the network. The host can browse
the internet and send and receive email. However, when
the client attempts to connect to the internet, not only
does it fail, it shuts down the ~generic host win32
services~ on the host computer - effectively crashing the
connection ( not to mention the visual settings, etc. )
This network has worked fine previously. Even my laptop
with XP Pro won't set up. Any suggestions here ? Hard-
drive reformat, OS re-installs, network wizards, legit
software, new nic cards, virus scans... nothing works.
Does ANYBODY have any ideas here ?
