After the Media Player 11 installation I am receiving a message stating some
files ned to return to their initial state, please insert the SP2 disk to
repair. I insert my SP2 disk, but another message states the version is
incorrect. When I go to MS dowload and try to down a copy of SP2, my system
is taken to MS Update and I am given a choice of express or custom. Both of
these return with no updates. And of course the SP2 download is not done. So
how can I down a copy of SP2 to put on a CD and use it the next time I get
the message to insert the SP2 disk?

Download Windows Service Pack 2 Standalone Version

Order Windows XP Service Pack 2 on CD
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default810.mspx

There were a bunch of SP2 CDs given out by MS when it was first released.
They mailed them for free and were used as inserts in many computer mags.
Another option is to find someone that has that SP2 CD.
