XP Memory Report

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a way to get XP to report that it has more memory
than is installed?

I have an application that checks for 1GB at install, but will run on
512MB. (I imaged the system onto a box with 1GB fitted, installed the
app, and reimaged it back. No problems)

Any help appreciated.

Huh ? - What application checks for that amount of physical memory ?
You asked us a question and then detailed a process you used - did it
work (No Problems). Physical memory detection isn't something you
can override. However, you can pass XP a Boot.Ini option /Maxmem
to restrict XP to use less than the total available. But I don't think you
can do it the other way around ( More than is truly available).

AFAIK this is not possible. What application are you trying to fool?
