Hi,
I have a machine that is running Media Center with all the latest
updates. A few days back I downloaded a software update for my
motherboard and since then, whenever I try to boot-up my PC I get a the
screen showing the details of my system and telling me the the floppy
drive was boot unsuccessful. It gives me the option to enter the setup
or to continue. When I hit continue everything works fine. But I would
like to get rid of the screen.
Would be really thankful if you guys could assist me.
Cheers

Hi Roohbir,

When you say you downloaded a motherboard software update, do you mean
that you flashed the BIOS to a current version? If so, it sounds like
the boot sequence may have changed. If you have a floppy drive
installed is it enabled in the BIOS and is it's boot sequence listed
first? If so, perhaps you have a non bootable floppy in the drive.
If not...you should check the boot sequence in the BIOS settings to
insure that it is correct.

Respectfully,

Trev

Thanks a lot for the reply Trev. Much appreciated. I'll check the boot
sequence in BIOS, although I do not have a floppy drive installed on
the system. Shall let you know if I have any problem or if I don't
understand anything.
Cheers

I tried what you suggested. I changed the boot sequence to HDD but
still I get the same message.
