One of our XP machines has started logging off after we don't use it for a
while. Where is the setting that tells it not to do this -- or to only do it
after a day or whatever. . . .??

Hi Peter,

Right click the desktop, choose properties. Go to the Screensaver tab,
uncheck the box for "on resume, display welcome screen". Then click Power
Option on the bottom of that tab, go to the advanced tab and uncheck the box
for "prompt for password when computer resumes from standby".

Are you using Winexit screensaver?

If not, see if this applies.

Check the power settings in Control Panel.
