XP Locked Administrator Files

Hello:

Up until several days ago I was running Windows XP with
four users: the local Administrator, Guest and two other
users (A
& B). Administrator had its own password, as did the two
non-Guest users (all this was on a home PC, not a network).
Several days ago XP suddenly refused to boot. (I was given
a message saying the registry files had been corrupted.
Later I found a Trojan Horse A0063035.exe, but whether
there is any connection between my problems and the Trojan
Horse I can not say). At any rate, I needed access to some
of the files under the old XP system, so I installed a new
copy of Windows XP, assuming it would delete the old system
(but hopefully save the old files/data that I wanted access
to). Strangely, it apparently did not delete the old XP
System (it still occupies a large amount of disk
space)--though it did save all of my old file/data folders.
And under the new Windows XP system I installed I was able
to access all of the files in the two old non-Guest user (A
& B) folders. However, I was unable to access the files
under the old local Administrator. Every time I try to
access them I am told that access is not allowed. I am not
queried for any type of password either. I suppose that in
the end, in orderto rid myself of one of the XP Operating
Systems I will
have to totally reformat my hard disk. But before doing so
I would like to access and copy the files under the old local
Administrator (in the old Administrator envelope). Does
anyone know if this is possible? And if so how?

Thank you.
