XP Licensing Issue

I recently had a customer who wanted XP Pro on three of
his computers. Not knowing this ahead of time, I had only
brought one copy. I installed that copy on all three
machines to please the customer, but left them all un-
activated. Tomorrow, I am going back with two more copies
of XP Pro at which point there will be three distinct and
legitimate COA's at the customer's site.

What can I expect from the activation process?

Will I need to re-install XP-Pro on two of the machines
using the two new copies, before I can activate them? Or
can I use the new copy COA's to activate the original CD's
duplicate installations?

I can't be the only tech who is too lazy to drive back to
their office in a case like this, so someone must have
done this before...

Please share your experiences, since it will help me
better plan my time tomorrow.

Thanks!

just activate over the phone and change the registration
key....(you dont have to call...you'll see!)

You can also try this option
Go to Start> Run> type in:%systemroot%\system32
\oobe\msoobe.exe /a

Select the second option, "Yes, I want to telephone..."
and then click next. In the next window click on the
Change Product key button. Type in your new product key
(Corporate Only). This will take you back to the previous
window, just exit out and reboot your system.

The View Key utility will also let you change the key for an installed
copy to another valid code.

Good luck
