XP Licenses

We have purchased several machine with XP Home installed from HP.
If I up grade to XP Professional, do need to purchase a XP Pro license or
does the XP Home cover that?

XP Home license doesn't cover XP Pro. You will need to buy the upgrade
license for WinXP Pro if you are going to upgrade the computers to XP Pro.

I'm not sure I understand the question. No, the XP Home license
is not a license for XP Professional. But when you buy the copies
of XP Professional to upgrade with, they each come with a
license. No purchase of a separate license is required.
