XP laptop can't see NT computers in workgroup

I have an XP (SP2) laptop and an XP (SP2) desktop in a workgroup along with
two NT PCs. The desktop can see the NT PCs on the network but the laptop
can't, even after configuring the laptop exactly (as far as I can tell) like
the desktop. Any help will be appreciated.
