xp keeps turning on by it's own

for a month now, my PC is only hibernating. every time i turn it off it keeps
turning on, sometimes within a minute, sometimes within 5 minutes. what am i
doing wrong?

Your Power Management settings may have changed.
Go to Start - Control Panel - Power Options - Advanced tab
"When I press the Power button on my computer:"
This should be set to shut down.
Apply and OK.
