XP keeps losing shared folder setting

Hi:

I have a very wried issues with my XP Pro SP2 installation. Recently, I've
realised that I keep losing my shared folders seetings under XP. I.e. for
example, I share a folder, C:\Temp, as a Temp share, after clocking apply/OK,
the folder appears shared, and will show up under the net share command as
well. However, after a couple of minutes, the share for that folder will be
uatomatically removed, i.e. appear not shared, and does not show up under net
share anymore.

I'm wondering has anyone seen this issues before, and how can I address/fix
this issue?

If you reset security, the fresh start might solve whatever conflict you have
now.
