XP keeps freezing then Dr Watson has a problem

PC is HP Pavilion m703, 2.8Ghz Pentium4, 1Gb DDR-SDRAM 333Mhz, 120Gb HD

Cannot do anything in windows, the system freezes whenever i right click on
any icons or try to go to the properties of anything, also happens whenever i
try to delete anything from the desktop or the Start menu. The system will
remain frozen, well, there is an hour glass and it wont allow me to do
anything. I can do ctrl-alt-dlt and it will allow me to end task on the
program but this takes some time and Dr Watson has problem while this
happens. Sometimes (Rarely) there is then an error about explorer.exe and
everything is fine but usually the PC freezes and i have to turn it off at
the mains. Everything else works fine and if i dont right click on anything
the PC runs wonderfully, hardly even slows down as i have loads of free
space.

In my opinion Dr. Watson *is* the problem, or at least part of it, and
the first thing I would do if I were working on your computer would be
to get rid of it.

I have never, ever, encountered any situation where the information
provided by Dr. Watson was of any use whatsoever in diagnosing the
actual underlying cause of a problem. All it ever does is to pollute
the error messages produced with excessive verbiage to the point where
they are useless for any constructive purpose, such as searching the
Microsoft Knowledge Base.

So try shutting off Dr. Watson. That will at least let the "pure"
Windows error messages come through and with that information we can
do some detailed searching for possible known causes and solutions.
Post the verbatim text of these error messages back here.
