My last session seemed to hang, so switched off at big
button.

Now, Windows starts and gets to a blue screen with the
Windows logo and just hangs there.

PLEASE PLEASE give me any hints to get passed this point.

thanks

George

If this looks like a p###ed person then it is.
There are plenty of you out there who allegedly have been
on the courses and know MS OSystems inside out.

Well fantastic. How about some help here then or do you
not want to help? This is why I like being forced into
using these crap products because there are always loads
of friendly folk out there rushing in here to help us all.

So tell me where are you now?????

I will be very surprised if anybody comments on this post
but at least I feel better for it. So let's see now
george, yet again nobody to help so we will once again
have to rebuild our pc again because of a crap Operating
System and Billy boy and his buddies don't give a rats ..

Thanks to you all.

Take the red pill.

It has been just 14 hours since your other post. Like you, people here have
jobs to go to and need to sleep some and have a life other than doing this.
A little patience is required.
Try booting into safe mode. Select last good configuration and then do a
restore to a point before your problem. If this won't work you can do a
repair installation.
Good luck!

Perhaps you should try another OS then??

Iget the same problem When it boots up, All I get is the windows screen with no Icons and no Start button. and an error message that says out of stack space error 28, I can get into the system by using task manager and searching for programs and every thing works fine then but still cant get a desk top button.

Thanks for the reply.

I should have added that I have already tried all
combinations of booting in Safe Mode and each one hangs in
the exact same spot.

I tried to do a Repair installation (not Recovery Console)
but Repair after this but it simply is not an option (it
would be nice if MS actually included on the option ALWAYS
the ability to Repair).

So now I am trying to work out exactly how to use Recovery
Console since I can't see how to quickly fix this.

Finally, yes I apologize to everyone for losing it. I dont
use MS out of choice simply because of the vast array of
software I need runs on it, as a developer and someone who
has provided IT support it annoys the hell out of me that
MS themselves do not provide the support needed and we
rely on everyone's goodwill instead ...

Anyway, if anybody else can offer me other hints or clues,
they would be gratefully received.

BTW for the other poster with similar problems look here

I'm working thru his advice - it might help you.

George
