computer slowness can
be caused by many (many)
things. There is no single
answer without looking into
all the aspects of "your"
system and it's configuration.
what might help it
to download a utility called
"systemmechanic".
this one program is designed
to check into many aspects of
the computer and do what
it can to clean, repair and
tune up those areas.
i suggest to run it and
use many of the tools it
has and see if this improves
your pc.
if it does not then the problem
may be a result of an incompatiable
or misconfigured program on your
system or possibly a problem with
hardware....
as a suggestion, you may want
to disable symantec and any
other antivirals temporarily
so that your pc can allocate more
resources to systemmechanic.
afterwards, you can enable them
again....
as far as the services you picked
around to disable or enable, this
may not have been a good idea.
but for now, just leave the services
as is until you encounter a problem.
I seem to have the same problem . I went into services.msc & had quite a few
not started. I went through & started the ones that sounded important. I
don't really know which ones should be started. I did httpfilter, disk
managers, picture taker(what is this?) Imap service , google updates & all
the ones from Symantec for my security stuff. Should these be started? Thank
You
