XP Installation

I am trying to install XP Home edition upgrade from ME on
a Dell 4100. I get an error 3E6h 3 minutes into Install.

The given help phone number 425-635-7222 is not the free
help on OS/XP install problems. Any suggestions? Thanks
 
If this is an upgrade install over a previous setup, this error often means
you have a lot of files in My Documents, Temporary Internet Files or Desktop
folder structure. If that is the case, try moving the files to a temporary
location and try the installation again.

Its quite a good idea there to use the TweakUI from the Windows 98
Powertoys to point 'My Documents' at some separate, empty folder (eg
C:\Docs ) made for the purpose.
