Hi
I have 2 Machines, 1 has XP Professional, the other
Windows 2000 Profesional NTFS and I want to instal XP on
this Machine. Whilst I can Format this machine ready for
XP the XP disc will not boot, Yes I have altered the boot
sequence. Can anyone please help. I am receiving the
W32.Swen A@mm Worm which Norton Antivirus catches and
quarantines also assures me I am not infected, BUT PLEASE
BE ADVISED, THIS MESSAGE WILL BE SCANNED BY NORTON! Does
anyone know how to stop the Worm entering, I have
downloaded and applied the Norton removal tool
Best Regards
Ron

Hi,

Outside of changing your email address, there is really no way of stopping
the swen-laden infected emails from arriving.

Boot a regular dos start floppy and load CD drivers. Insert the WinXP CD,
run winnt.exe from the I386 folder to start the WinXP installation if the
disk does not boot.

Please note: If this WinXP CD is one that you got with your existing
preinstalled system, then it will probably not install and activate on your
other system. You need a regular retail version and separate license for the
second machine.
