XP Installation corrupted services

Hi everyone,

My installation of XP SP2 appeared to complete
successfully however, it would appear it didn't. A number
of services where corrupted by the installation it also
corrupt the restore tool. Another weird thing it did was
to the Network Connections. I see no adapters in there
now although they appear in device manager and appear OK.
If I look at Network options there are no binidng s to any
adapters.

It also messed up the windows update service so I could
not. I managed to find the network download of SP2(which
for some reason MS have made hard to find)anyway I
installed this and services look OK now but still no
Adapters in network connections.

Anyone got any ideas?
