Hello,
I am doing a fresh install of XP Home on a new WD 40G HDD. I boot from the
XP CD and it loads a bunch of files. When the setup screen comes up that
says press enter to install, I press enter and it says it can't find any
hard drives and to exit setup. The BIOS detects the HDD when I first boot
the machine and shows WD - seriel number etc..., but the XP boot CD doesn't
see it. What should I try?
Thanx,

Ripper

Depends on your hardware. Generally what you're describing is a situation
where there are no drivers for the disk controller on the CD. In which case
you need to feed the drivers via the F6 prompt.

Jumper setting was wrong; that fixed it. Thanx for the response.
