XP install missing dll's

I tried to clean install XP on a Viao PCG-FXA36 and part
way into the install it quit finding a bunch of dll's.
Nothing to do but abort. I tried multiple times. What
would cause this and how to get it to work?

It will generally do that if the disk is bad or has a
scratch.
 
I have the same issue. I just bought XP pro for my new
machine and selected the "continue anyway" option my
install was crap and crashed constantly. I tried to
repair the install but I get the same errors and more
crashes. Very disappointing!
