XP install driver Order question, Sp2, mobo drivers, then ???

I would think right after you install Xp you would install Sp2 right ?

Then maybe Directx9c, then Mobo Drivers, then sound and video drivers
and anything after that, am i about right ?

Yes, that would be best, then the proper drivers. But before you do any of that, if your system was prebuilt by a manufacturer (i.e. Dell, Gateway), you better be sure to note if you need to install any of the chipset and network drivers first before setting up anything else.

Then install SP2, then get the latest drivers for SP2 (if available) from your hradware manufacturers. By the way SP2 already has DirectX 9.0c, so no need to get that beforehand.

If your PC maker has a BIOS flash update for your MOBO, that would be best done after SP2, and they typically (these days anyway) flash while in Windows, with no need to reboot. But check with the PC maker for definite specs first!!
