When using Hyperterminal on Windows XP Professional, the
text in the Buffer (scroll back space) is garbled or
unreadable. This problem was corrected for windows 2000 as
mentioned in the article below buy is now occuring with

SYMPTOMS
In HyperTerminal, the text in the buffer window (the
window above the command window) may appear to be
corrupted. The text in the command window should move to
the buffer window as the text scrolls past the top line in
the command window. However, the text may appear in the
buffer window with missing characters or extra characters.
CAUSE
This behavior is caused by a problem in Hypertrm.dll.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack
for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the

The English version of this fix should have the following
