I had an unfortunate motherboard failure which corrupted my RAID array and wiped out my video card. I had to purchase a new motherboard, vid card, and reformat my drives.
Anyway, upon booting from the XP Home CD, the setup program investigates components and then starts copying files to the hard drive. 50% of the time it just locks up within the first minute and the rest of the time it tells me I have a missing or corrupted file while loading setup files. To make matters worse, the missing or corrupted file never seems to be the same file twice after rebooting and attempting to install again. I have completely gutted my computer and reassembled thinking that I may have had a connection issue and also have verified that all hardware is functioning.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
