xp home to xp professional

My computer came with xp home. I need to install IIS
which it doesn,t support. Can I upgrade to XP
professional or do I need to do a clean install? The
problem is that I'll lose some manufacturer software that
I can't get again if I do a clean install of professional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can upgrade with a retail copy or upgrade copy of pro
