XP home stuck on logon screen

XP Home gets stuck at the logon screen on all modes
(normal, safe, safe with command prompt) & will not get
anywhere from this screen. No users available to choose
except for the xp Logo. Any Work around for this?
 
Hi

At the 'Welcome' screen press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice - the Admin account will appear. Don't enter a password, but press Enter. Can you now get into XP?
