I have searched the forum and could not determine the following: While
accessing a person's computer using windows remote access via messenger, is
it possible that my pc could get infected by the computer I am trying to fix?

Thanks in advance

Meaning, remote assistance/remote desktop? No - you're opening it in a
window of sorts. I suppose if you enabled local drive redirection there'd be
some chance that you could get something, but it seems highly unlikely.

Yes, remote assistance from one XP home machine to another, exactly. I hoped
so and kind of figured it since I cannot drag one file from my window to
theirs. Just wanted to make sure, since this is the first time I used this
feature. Kind of cool, I was able to clean my daughter’s pc of Trojans using
it.

Thank you so much for the quick reply, you rock!

Handy, isn't it!

You're most welcome; glad you got the PC cleaned up.
