XP Home reboots on startup

The problem's in the subject header. On intial boot XP Home gets as far as
allowing one of the users to log in and about one minute later reboots once.
Had a quick gander at MS Knowlege Base but either their search engine is
still playing up or this is a unique problem, which I doubt.
All thoughts welcome.
