XP home installation

Lucky to be able to get here in safemode. After installing the computer kept
doing some kind of an error check on my drive. I had the option to allow the
check (reccomended) or hit any key to stop the check. After that it restarts.
The Dell Logo comes up, then the Windows XP Logo and the progress bar fills.
Then it's back to that check of the drive. Says drive is FAT32. I can't
recall all that stuff but there was something about 07D0-0A17. There is no
way to print it and I guess it would be possible to take a picture of the
info if I was fast enough. I will probably have to go elsewhere to read any
replies unless I can get back into safemode again. What else is new?? Gezzzz

I forgot to mention that after about 20 times of this I got the idea there
was a problem. The installation I chose was the upgrade. It did upgrade the
drivers for my printer before it went nuts
