Hi,
I would like to install Windows XP Home Edition in computer which
belongs to company network. Can I do this. Is it legal?
Best regards.

Yes, it is legal but the machine will not be able to join a Windows domain.

The names "Home" and "Professional" are merely marketing names, very roughly
describing where and how the two are most *likely* to be used.. There are
*no* requirements that XP Home must be used in a home, or that XP
Professional not be used in a home.

So yes, it's completely legal and you can do it. However, depending on what
kind of network it is and what you will need to do there, it may or may not
work for you. The most significant issue is likely to be that XP
Professional can join a domain, but XP Home can not. Ask your company's
network adminstator whether you will need to join a domain. If the answer is
yes, XP Home isn't right for you.
