XP Home firewall disconnects Starband satellite modem when turned on

I am unable to use the XP firewall with my Starband
satellite modem. Everytime I turn on the firewall it
disconnects me from the modem. Any ideas?

Contact your provider with this question.
Some providers want the ability to inquire of your
system or they will boot you off. Perhaps something
of this form is happening, and if so, ask them what
it is that you must open as allowed in your firewall.

Hello Char,

Starband does require some open ports for their connections. The last I
saw they need TPC and UDP port 1880. Open this port in the ICF
configuration and you should be able to function.
