Hey I bought this for my AMD Athlon XP 2100 after I
bought and installed the same thing on my older AMD XP
1700. Sort of a test to see how things went. On the
1700 it went fine. No problems. On the 2100, oh boy! I
had almost 5Gb of space on the hard drive prior to the
install. It took forever to load then the machine was
incredibly slow so I took it in for service. They said I
needed a new hard drive begause 5G's of space was just
barely enough. I went with a new 80GB Hard drive. Well
that didn't make it any faster. We ended up installing a
new mother board and installing XP Professional with a
completly new, fresh, wipped clean hard drive. Well it
seems to work now, still alittle buggy. What do I do
with the copy of XP home I bought? Do I just eat the
$100.00 or what? I did register it.............

Hi!
sorry to hear that.
But I am still confused as you have ended up with changing
the Motherboard.Where was the problem-in your motherboard
or in XP Home CD?
If the CD is faulty go to the vendor from where you have
purchased it.
