It is driving me nuts! I actually liked being able to right click on a file and be able to copy to cd.

I dont know why it wont work anymore, I have done nothing that I know of to disable it.

Any clue how to fix it?

Perhaps another burning utility is conflicting with the built-in burner.

Click START|ALL PROGRAMS|ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS|SERVICES

Locate the IMAPI entry and double-click it. Set Start Up to AUTOMATIC.

Okay...that helped....I can copy files to the cd/rw now....however (grrr) nothing happens. It says put a disk in and I do and, well....thats all. I am really starting to hate Roxio. I am sure it has something to do with this.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\ImapiRox.exe is what is showing in the association box when I run services.msc. How do I get it to stop associating with roxio? Now it does not recognize the F drive at all. And I remember when moxt folks liked Roxio....

Hi

Have a look at the following article:

That is a great article. I had previously read it. At this point in time my Cdr drive is missing the recording tab, I tried the reg fix, (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD Burning\Drives) but CD Burning is an absent value. It is not there.

I know Roxio has something to do with this since in services C:\WINDOWS\System32\ImapiRox.exe is the association. I have tried un installing roxio in the past, and it did more than take my drive with it not to be found again by windows, it nearly crashed my system.

Thus the frustration.
