I found the bkup utility on the my XP CD and installed it. However everytime
i use it it stops at a 4 gig limit and won't create a bkup file. I have some
home videos digitized in the 4-5 gig range. Is that the problem? I just want
to copy over all my digitzed video files, documents (Word and Excel) and
music file to an external USB HDD. Doesn't look like there are many advance
options in the bkup utility.
Thoughts...solutions?

You need to convert your FAT32 drive to NTFS.

.
are you trying to back up everything at one time? because
you could do it in sets, like make one backup file for
DOCs one for MP3s and another for videos. this should
make less than 4GB each(unless you have a HUGE amount of
each. this is a quick and easy way to fix this problem.
