Does XP Home have the capability to logon to a Windows 2000 Domain
Controller? If so, is it the same methods as in XP PRO?

thanks in advance

No. XP Home cannot become a member of a domain. However, it can use
domain resources. Here are links which explain that:

Thanks.....can I still use the XP Home machine to obtain IP address if the DC
is using DHCP? obviously point the gateway IP address to that of the DC.....

thanks

Actually, no. If you have your DHCP server correctly configured, setting XP
Home to automatically get an IP address should 'fill in all the blanks'
correctly. Don't manually set anything.
