xp hep?

when i turned on my computer my xp screen comes up and my welcome screen with my name and guest i log on to my name and it goes directly to my wallpaper then to my screensaver. it is not giving me my start screen. so i switch userr to go on to aol . what should i do ? is my pc sick ?

Check the Startup folder for a shortcut that points to the screensaver.
Move or delete if found.
