Hi

Which particular programs are they?

Please try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your
system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip
Spy Sweeper - www.webroot.com

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

will,

thanks for the reply. there are a number of programs in the sys
info/software/startup section which i have already identified thru spybot. i
can delete the programs themselves, but how do i delete the "call" for these
programs in the startup section of the system info? in win 98 i just
uncheck a box next to the item. what about win xp?

thanks

jack

Hi

From Start>Run type

msconfig

then click on the Startup tab. Uncheck any programs you don't want starting
up with Windows and then reboot your system.
