XP - Help[ please

As a new XP Home Edition owner I now find that I need
a version of Word to send formatted lists to customers
who do not have Works, and may have only old Word
versions. Which compatible Word programme should i
install please?

Any version should work..the least they'd have to do is convert it to the
newer version.

If you have MS Works 6.0 or higher, there should be an option on your "Save
As" dialog for at least two "* .DOC" formats, which are Word compatable. One
is for Word 6.0/95 and the other for Word 97-2000. (There's actually a third
for dinosaurs). If you have an older version, there is a converter patch
available from Microsoft here
