Hi, I have this really annoying little issue with my system. Everytime I get
a new message on Outlook, or when I change the volume, there is an annoying
beep everytime. Anyway to change this behaviour? I've tried getting rid of
all sounds, but problems still persist.

I don't use Outlook but sound may be the new mail sound in Control panel,
sounds and audio devices, sounds tab. If so, disable it there. Click the
speaker in the system tray once to bring up the sound adjustment
screen--mark mute box.

If you want to get rid of all sounds, disconnect the speakers or turn
them off ;-)

I've found that even if you configure your system to use No Sounds through the
Sounds and Audio devices applet in Control Panel, some sounds will still be
generated and be audible through your computers internal speaker. You'll hear
them even if you've turned off your external speakers.

You can disable the email notification sound from within Outlook by following
this procedure.

In Outlook, click on Tools -> Options ->.
On the Preferences page of Options, click on Email Options.
In Email Options, click on Advanced Options.
On the Advanced Options page, uncheck "Play a sound" under When new items arrive
in my Inbox.
Click OK three times.

The only way I've come across to not hear the beep when changing the volume is
to use the scroll wheel on your mouse to move the slider up and down. Click on
the speaker icon in the notification area to make the slider appear. Don't use
your mouse pointer to drag the slider. Instead use the scroll wheel.

Good luck
