Help: Occassionally any application I'm running freezes for 3-5 seconds then it starts running again. It doesn't matter what I'm doing (MS Word, Playing Links, listening to CD or on the Net). I think it's a memory issue but unsure where to start solving. Called Dell, the manufactor, ended up having to reinstall XP. Not pleasant experience. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

The problem could be the inconsistency of the display adapter which is not able to adjust itself to the refresh rate. uninstall the existing display drivers and install the fresh drivers that are compatible for xp. contact your dell manufacturer for updated drivers.
