XP Font Size Setting does not 'stick'

No one responded to my original post and I am still stumped...

Evertime I start the computer all the fonts are large (like the titles to my
desktop icons, etc)
I rt click desktop - props - appearance tab - font size = normal, change it
to large, change it back to normal, then click apply (have not clicked apply
to till this point) and they change back to what I am used to... then I go
through it all again next time I start the computer.

Any tips?

Check in Accessibility Options to make sure none of the vision options were
triggered. Sometimes these settings flip by just accessing the
accessibility wizard and there is no notice of it happening.
 
Me too! I go to Display, Settings, Screen Resolution and change it every time I turn on my computer. Sure would like to get this resolved.
